New Video from Daleiden & Center for Medical Progress

“How can we ever make America great again as long as our laws and our policies say our children are worth more dead than alive?” David Daleiden posed the question at the Values Voter conference in Washington, D.C. earlier this month. He announced to the crowd that a new Center for Medical Progress video was forthcoming. This week, he delivered, documenting further the body-parts business that is integrated with the abortion industry.

In this new video, he interviews whistleblower Holly O’Donnell, former procurement technician for StemExpress, a company which worked in conjunction with Planned Parenthood affiliates to obtain fetal body parts. The video includes undercover footage of lab workers sorting “POC” (products of conception, i.e. aborted children), and here’s fair warning that some viewers may find the video hard to take.

At Values Voter, Daleiden started his presentation with a self-deprecating remark about his tendency to speak too long, adding that if he did, “You can always call the California Attorney General’s office and they will be happy to send eleven jackbooted thugs to carry me off the stage.” California is where 15 charges were filed against Daleiden and colleague Sandra Merritt over the CMP videos – and where 14 of those charges were dismissed on grounds of “legal insufficiency.”

It’s been two years since CMP’s first video was released. Yet, said Daleiden, Planned Parenthood and its allies continue “the lie that my videos are highly edited. In reality, my videos are highly accurate. After two years, Planned Parenthood still cannot deny that the people featured on these videos are their own top abortion doctors, speaking their own words that have so shocked and outraged the public, captured on camera for all the world and all of history to see.”

He is confident that President Trump would sign a bill to keep public funds from going to Planned Parenthood “if the Senate would do its job, abolish the filibuster and restore constitutional order. We are just one vote away from zeroing out [funding].” He pointed out that when Trump proposed an end to defunding efforts if PP would stop doing abortions, PP declined.

“I promise you I am not backing down in the face of Planned Parenthood’s attacks. I am all in to defeat them in every courtroom….Please continue to share these videos….[I]f we stay focused and work together, we will hasten the day when there is no longer a price tag on human life.”

On P.P. Funding: Observations from Karen Handel

This morning, New Hampshire’s Executive Council will vote on contracts with two abortion providers including Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. Yesterday, Karen Handel of Georgia won a seat in Congress.

So what does Handel have to do with a pending Council vote?

She has offered her thoughts about PP’s funding by governments and private agencies – and she has better reason that most of us for giving thought to the problem. Read here for a brief review of her experience with a breast cancer charity and with Planned Parenthood’s response when the charity decided all too briefly not to hand funds to the nation’s largest abortion provider.

Here are some excerpts from Handel’s book Planned Bullyhood, written in the wake of the Komen/PP debacle that forced her out of a job a few years back. This might explain why Planned Parenthood Action Fund put over $700,000 into the GA-06 race in a futile effort to prevent Handel from winning a seat in Congress.

…[W]hat is clear is this: Planned Parenthood is a powerful and effective combat weapon for the left, willing to put its own political agenda— abortion and its government funding— ahead of women.

…The campaign started with Komen, but it certainly didn’t end with Komen. And it won’t end until we, as Americans, stand up to the perverse tactics of thugs like Planned Parenthood— and the politicians they pay for to do their dirty work.

…Planned Parenthood…said Komen’s decision [to end grants to PP] was political. It was not; it was an economic one— made in the best interest of Komen and, more important, the women that Komen serves….Komen’s board of directors was insisting on real, measurable results and even higher standards of excellence. The grants to Planned Parenthood— about $700,000 in 2011, or less than one-tenth of one percent of Planned Parenthood’s $1 billion annual budget— were not high-quality grants.

…For Planned Parenthood, there was no such thing as neutral. You were either with them or against them. And anybody who didn’t actively support Planned Parenthood was the enemy and had to be destroyed— including a nonpartisan breast cancer foundation doing great work.

…Yes, I was and am staunchly pro-life, but portraying me as [a pro-life] hero wasn’t accurate, either. I believed— and still believe— that breast cancer is not about ideology. Yet when Komen gave up on being neutral and caved to the mafia-style tactics of Planned Parenthood and the left, Komen made it about ideology.

…The Komen incident also exposed an underlying and disturbing truth: Planned Parenthood and its allies are the worst kind of bullies. They were willing to do almost anything to advance their political agenda and ensure the continued flow of nearly $1.5 million dollars a day in government money to Planned Parenthood’s coffers.

…And the bullying won’t stop until it is exposed— and we stand up to it.

“Planned Bullyhood” Author Wins as Georgia Voters Send Handel to Congress

As of 10:30 p.m. on June 20, the Associated Press is reporting that Karen Handel has been elected to Congress from Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District. Handel, a Republican, appears to have edged Democrat Jon Ossoff after a campaign that reportedly cost in aggregate about $50 million.

You’ll recall Handel as the ex-Susan G. Komen exec who probably still has Planned Parenthood’s tire marks all over her back.

In 2012, Handel was senior vice-president of public policy for Komen, a charity supporting research into breast cancer and ways to prevent it. The Komen leadership announced it would stop giving grants to Planned Parenthood, since PP’s work did not advance the Komen mission. No hard feelings on Komen’s part; this was strictly a business decision.

Planned Parenthood immediately went into full punishment mode. PP’s public attacks on Komen, including false claims that Komen was abandoning women, resulted in Komen caving in after only three days. Shame on them, then and now. Handel’s job was among the casualties as Komen attempted damage control.

Handel responded accordingly, with a book she called Planned Bullyhood. As an insider’s view of the 2012 situation, it’s unmatched.

Former PP worker speaks out about funding vote

I posted a few minutes ago about a U.S. House vote re-directing funds away from Planned Parenthood. My attitude was yay-but-Senate.

Allow me to share with you a more decisive response, from Catherine Adair – a woman whom I have the honor of knowing, and whose experience I respect.

I know Planned Parenthood hasn’t been defunded yet. I know we have a ways to go. But I am in shock. Absolute shock. I *never* thought anything like this would ever be possible.

Even when I worked at a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, I felt like they were untouchable. I started working there thinking they were progressive & pro-woman, that they were in the business of providing healthcare.

I truly believed they were helping women. But *every* time I went to my manager about a patient who I thought was being coerced or was unsure, my concerns were brushed aside and I was told to “put her through.” This included underage girls. I was told to give minority women and girls “the shot” (Depo Provera) because they would never remember to take a pill everyday. I was in the procedure room where women were treated like cattle and their bodies treated like trash.

I left Planned Parenthood disillusioned, angry, and alone. I didn’t think I could ever say anything against them, I was too afraid. They had psychologically manipulated me into believing that speaking against them would be an unthinkable betrayal of the Sisterhood. So many women (and men) have been manipulated too, manipulated into believing that the sky will fall if Planned Parenthood is defunded. I want to tell all of you that they are LYING. That’s what they do – they lie. They manipulate you and use you, all so that they can make money.

I am beyond happy today. I am vindicated. I am standing tall while continuing to be vilified and hated by many people. I don’t care. I know the truth and it has set me free.

A notable D.C. vote

The U.S. House voted by a very narrow margin today to pass a health insurance act (H.R. 1628) which faces grim prospects over in the U.S. Senate. Among other reported provisions, the act passed today would prevent federal funds from going to abortion providers including Planned Parenthood for one year.

Some things might be de-funded under the act, but women’s health isn’t one of them.  From Steven Ertelt at LifeNews.com:

“The pro-life bill would eliminate more than $390 million (over 86%) of over $450 million in annual federal funding to Planned Parenthood, from all mandatory spending programs. The measure also redirects funding to community health centers which outnumber Planned Parenthood facilities 20 to 1 and offer a wider array of health care services, but not abortion. AHCA also repeals Obamacare abortion subsidies, adds reforms to give states more flexibility and lower costs, and provides families more options.”

But as I mentioned – now it goes to the Senate.

Members of Congress Shea-Porter and Kuster voted against the measure.
